The Opportunity:
A Maths Teacher with Whole School Numeracy TLR is needed to support the delivery of a high-quality mathematics curriculum. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking a new challenge, and offers the potential for a TLR based on whole school numeracy leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the GCSE curriculum and mastery approach
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts through small steps
- Engage in continued professional development to enhance subject knowledge and teaching practice
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement and improve the school’s mathematics curriculum
- Promote excellent outcomes for all students and remove barriers to learning
- Contribute to the development of a cutting-edge and innovative curriculum
- Participate in whole school numeracy initiatives and potentially take on leadership responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Familiarity with GCSE content and mastery-based teaching approaches
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience with whole school numeracy initiatives or leadership
- Background in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
- Experience in curriculum development or innovation
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience
