The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Modern Foreign Languages lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes cultural awareness and global citizenship.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A level results in French and Spanish.
  • Contribute to the school’s enriched curriculum through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide events.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • At least 3 years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
  • Proven experience teaching French and Spanish at both KS4 and KS5 levels.
  • A proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
  • A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance.

Preferred

  • Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with British education standards and assessment practices.
