The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join its Secondary School team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using data to inform teaching and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to cross-subject initiatives.
  • Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students within the school community.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and wider academic initiatives.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare are maintained.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree and a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and experience teaching up to A Level.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and a proactive approach to pastoral care.
  • Willingness to teach other science subjects at KS3 and/or KS4.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A track record of contributing to school-wide initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
