Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire student interest and achievement in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, ensuring progression and challenge.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the faculty.
  • Participate in the development and review of the school’s MFL curriculum.
  • Support students through pastoral care and enrichment opportunities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote language learning and cultural awareness.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Proven experience in teaching MFL at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Knowledge of teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities related to language learning.
