The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The role involves teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-levels for experienced candidates. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-levels for experienced candidates.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student progress and a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with the Science team to develop and share high-quality resources and teaching strategies.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and targeted intervention.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
- Stay current with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student progress and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A-level Science.
- Background in Chemistry or Physics.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience in pastoral care or student leadership initiatives.
