The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The role involves teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-levels for experienced candidates. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-levels for experienced candidates.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student progress and a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science team to develop and share high-quality resources and teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and targeted intervention.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
  • Stay current with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student progress and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-level Science.
  • Background in Chemistry or Physics.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student leadership initiatives.
