The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Music and Drama Teacher to join our dynamic Creative Arts team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through performance and instrumental music, as well as to deliver engaging drama lessons across the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to a vibrant, multicultural learning environment that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons to grades 6 and 7, with a focus on performance and instrumental pieces.
• Develop and implement engaging, student-centered curriculum aligned with the IB framework.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Creative Arts department to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Support student development through individualized instruction and performance-based assessments.
• Stay current with best practices in education, technology-enhanced learning, and drama and music pedagogy.
• Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and professional development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field with a teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/QTS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.

Preferred

• Experience teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
• Additional language skills.
• Experience in both performance and instrumental music instruction.
• Background in drama education at the Middle Years or Diploma Programme level.
