The Opportunity:
As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students through engaging and creative music education. You will contribute to a dynamic learning environment that nurtures talent and encourages exploration across all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach music courses in accordance with school standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and deliver weekly, half-termly, and termly lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Differentiate instruction to suit students’ ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Assign and monitor homework in line with school policy.
- Support the development of students’ social and emotional well-being through effective classroom management.
- Assist with after-school clubs and contribute to the school’s personal development program.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Promote the school within the local community and represent it at external events.
- Participate in the school’s pastoral care system and support the admissions team as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in music education or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with a valid teaching certificate.
- Strong knowledge of international school music curricula.
- Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international school in China or overseas.
- Familiarity with the UK or other international curricula.
- Experience with using technology in music education.
