The Opportunity:
As a MYP Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of students by ensuring the implementation of the MYP program aligns with its philosophical and pedagogical principles. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and support a collaborative teaching team, driving high-quality learning outcomes and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the MYP curriculum across the school.
- Facilitate collaborative planning, teaching, and assessment processes among faculty.
- Provide leadership and support to teachers in developing and delivering high-quality, inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Ensure alignment of teaching practices with the MYP program standards and requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing guidance and support to teachers where needed.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the secondary team.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student learning.
- Support the development and implementation of assessment strategies that reflect MYP principles.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of senior or middle leadership experience in a similar educational setting.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong understanding of the MYP curriculum framework and pedagogical best practices.
Preferred
- Experience in an IB environment or teaching the IB curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
- Expertise in technology-enhanced learning and innovative teaching methods.
- Proven track record in fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments.
