The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced MYP English Teacher to join its Secondary School team. This role offers the chance to teach English Language Acquisition and/or English Language & Literature, with the potential to contribute to Drama. The ideal candidate is passionate about language, literature, and student engagement within the IB framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality MYP English lessons aligned with IB philosophy
• Teach English Language Acquisition and/or English Language & Literature
• Contribute to Drama lessons, where relevant
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills in students (Grades 5–11)
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress in line with IB expectations
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student learning and development
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and collaborative planning
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Native or at the level of native English
• IB MYP experience (certification is an advantage)
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English within the MYP framework
• Degree in English, Languages, Literature, Education, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an international school

Preferred

• Experience in Drama
• Strong classroom presence, excellent communication skills, and a reflective teaching approach
