The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Manager, you will lead and manage a new nursery at a school in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to shape early childhood education and provide a nurturing environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education
  • Implement and develop the early years curriculum in line with EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of nursery staff
  • Maintain accurate records and track nursery occupancy and growth
  • Promote the values and mission of the nursery to staff, parents, and children
  • Ensure a safe, happy, and secure environment for all pupils
  • Collaborate with the school to support the educational journey of young learners
  • Participate in regular meetings with other nursery managers to share best practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Full and relevant Level 5 Childcare qualification (NVQ5, EYTS, QTS, B.Ed. or above)
  • Extensive experience in a childcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance
  • Experience in a management role, including mentoring and leading staff
  • Excellent understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality childcare and learning opportunities

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting
  • Experience with teaching English as a second language
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and staff
