The Opportunity:
As a Part-Time English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping students' literacy and communication skills, helping them develop both academically and personally. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and innovative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Support students in developing strong writing, reading, and self-expression skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the English department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Work closely with other teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching English at the appropriate level.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, including literature and language.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with research-driven pedagogical approaches.
- Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting diverse learners.
- Previous experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
