The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive and driven team. This role offers the chance to inspire students and make a real difference in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to also contribute to teaching English when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the English curriculum where required.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school development initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching History at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History and the ability to teach English where required.
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team environment.
