The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing 1:1 support and small group sessions to students with learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will have experience working in this area and a commitment to making a positive impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning difficulties in Mathematics through 1:1 and small group sessions.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the GCSE Mathematics syllabus.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of learning outcomes.
- Provide regular feedback to students and their parents to support their progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Stay up to date with best practices in Mathematics education and special needs support.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of Mathematics-related extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Mathematics teacher with relevant experience.
- Experience working with students with learning difficulties.
- Strong understanding of the GCSE Mathematics syllabus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting with a focus on special needs support.
- Familiarity with 1:1 teaching strategies.
- A valid driving licence and a car for travel to the school site.
- Experience with small group teaching and classroom management.
