The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing 1:1 support and small group sessions to students with learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will have experience working in this area and a commitment to making a positive impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with learning difficulties in Mathematics through 1:1 and small group sessions.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the GCSE Mathematics syllabus.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of learning outcomes.
• Provide regular feedback to students and their parents to support their progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Stay up to date with best practices in Mathematics education and special needs support.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of Mathematics-related extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Mathematics teacher with relevant experience.
• Experience working with students with learning difficulties.
• Strong understanding of the GCSE Mathematics syllabus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently.

Preferred

• Experience in a school setting with a focus on special needs support.
• Familiarity with 1:1 teaching strategies.
• A valid driving licence and a car for travel to the school site.
• Experience with small group teaching and classroom management.
