The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons that promote health, fitness, and lifelong sporting habits. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and active school culture through extracurricular activities and inter-school events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England
• Develop pupils’ physical skills, teamwork, and understanding of healthy lifestyles
• Organise and lead extracurricular sporting activities, clubs, and school teams
• Support and coordinate inter-school competitions and sporting events
• Promote high standards of behaviour, effort, and achievement in all lessons
• Ensure safe practice and effective use of sporting equipment and facilities
• Contribute to a positive, active, and inclusive school culture
• Inspire and motivate learners of all abilities through dynamic and engaging teaching

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
• Experience teaching PE within a British curriculum school
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Preferred

• A strong passion for sport, fitness, and student development
• Experience with inter-school competitions and extracurricular sporting activities
