The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Teacher (Primary) to join a dynamic team of educators. This role is integral to delivering a high-quality, internationally recognized curriculum that nurtures students' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons aligned with the IB framework and the English National Curriculum.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student-centered learning and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver cross-curricular and transdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and international-mindedness.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting a culture of academic excellence, personal development, and global citizenship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in a Spanish Language discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
  • Strong inter-cultural awareness and well-developed communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based teaching methods.
  • Experience in a multicultural educational environment.
  • Knowledge of BTEC or other vocational programmes.
