The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical education and sporting excellence across all age groups. You will work closely with the Head of Sport to deliver a dynamic and varied PE program that includes a wide range of sports and activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students from Reception to A Level.
  • Develop and implement a diverse range of sporting activities, including football, netball, swimming, and rock climbing.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sport and other staff to enhance sporting opportunities for all pupils.
  • Support the school’s commitment to physical education and student well-being.
  • Organize and lead extracurricular sporting events and training camps.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of all sports facilities, including the heated sports hall and swimming pool.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture within the school community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching PE at a school level, ideally with students from a range of ages.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide variety of sports and physical activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching or leading sports teams.
  • Familiarity with swimming instruction and water-based sports.
  • Experience with sport and physical education curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students.
