The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical education and sporting excellence across all age groups. You will work closely with the Head of Sport to deliver a dynamic and varied PE program that includes a wide range of sports and activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students from Reception to A Level.
- Develop and implement a diverse range of sporting activities, including football, netball, swimming, and rock climbing.
- Collaborate with the Head of Sport and other staff to enhance sporting opportunities for all pupils.
- Support the school’s commitment to physical education and student well-being.
- Organize and lead extracurricular sporting events and training camps.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of all sports facilities, including the heated sports hall and swimming pool.
- Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture within the school community.
- Monitor and assess student progress in PE and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching PE at a school level, ideally with students from a range of ages.
- Strong knowledge of a wide variety of sports and physical activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching or leading sports teams.
- Familiarity with swimming instruction and water-based sports.
- Experience with sport and physical education curriculum development.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students.
