Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the opportunity to specialise in English Literature and Language.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with the English team to develop and implement an effective curriculum.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Promote the importance of the humanities and social sciences across the school.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to raising student achievement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering A-Level English.
- Experience in working with early career teachers.
- Familiarity with cross-curricular teaching and learning.
- Experience in using innovative teaching methods and technologies.
