Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the opportunity to specialise in English Literature and Language.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the English team to develop and implement an effective curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Promote the importance of the humanities and social sciences across the school.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to raising student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering A-Level English.
  • Experience in working with early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with cross-curricular teaching and learning.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching methods and technologies.
