The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic school as a Physics Teacher with a unique teacher training opportunity. This role combines classroom teaching with on-site professional development, offering a fully funded PGCE and mentorship to help you grow as an educator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Support students’ academic and personal development through pastoral care and extracurricular involvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participate in a structured teacher training programme, including mentorship and professional development.
  • Engage in co-curricular activities, such as sports, leadership, and community initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Complete a fully funded PGCE course and achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Take on increasing teaching responsibilities and leadership opportunities as you progress through the programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Physics or a related subject.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and DBS checks.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring.
  • Previous involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with teacher training or PGCE qualifications.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum standards.
