The Opportunity:
A Religious Studies Teacher (Part-Time) is sought to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach A level. This role offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic department and make a meaningful impact on student learning and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that motivate and challenge students.
- Collaborate with the department to enhance the Religious Studies curriculum and support student achievement.
- Contribute to co-curricular activities and school events that promote the school’s ethos.
- Support students in their personal and academic development, encouraging confidence and exploration.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
- Assist with pastoral care and student welfare where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
- Experience teaching Religious Studies at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A creative and engaging teaching style that promotes student motivation and learning.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos of confidence, exploration, and holistic development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Geography or History at Key Stages 3 or 4.
- Ability to teach A level Religious Studies.
- Experience with co-curricular programme development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
