The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Plumbing Lecturer to join our Building Services and Construction department. This role offers the chance to shape the future of learners through high-quality teaching and curriculum development across Levels 1-3, including T Levels and adult education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of plumbing and construction courses.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum content in line with awarding body specifications.
  • Support learners through assessments, progress reviews, and individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to enhance curriculum and learner experiences.
  • Use information systems and databases to track student achievement and manage course administration.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and ensure teaching methods are innovative and responsive.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HND or degree in a relevant subject area, such as Building Services.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learner success.
  • Willingness to obtain a teaching qualification if not already held.
  • Knowledge of vocational topics related to plumbing and construction.
  • Ability to manage assessments and track student progress effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with T Levels and adult education delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using information systems and databases in an educational setting.
