The Opportunity:

As a Sixth Form Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting and inspiring students aged 16–19. This is a vital position that helps shape student outcomes and prepare them for the next stages of their education or career. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise students in the Sixth Form to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Promote student well-being, motivation, and academic success through regular engagement and guidance.
  • Work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form and senior leadership to implement strategies that enhance student outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, helping them navigate their academic and personal development.
  • Ensure the effective use of study spaces, facilities, and resources to support student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive Sixth Form experience.
  • Monitor student behavior and attendance, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering events and activities that enhance the Sixth Form experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to student welfare, academic achievement, and personal development.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and responsibility.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with the ability to manage and motivate others.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Sixth Form or similar environment, with a focus on student support and guidance.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience with curriculum development or pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with educational technologies and innovative teaching methods.
