The Opportunity:
As a Sixth Form Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting and inspiring students aged 16–19. This is a vital position that helps shape student outcomes and prepare them for the next stages of their education or career. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to a school that values personal growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise students in the Sixth Form to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.
- Promote student well-being, motivation, and academic success through regular engagement and guidance.
- Work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form and senior leadership to implement strategies that enhance student outcomes.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, helping them navigate their academic and personal development.
- Ensure the effective use of study spaces, facilities, and resources to support student learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive Sixth Form experience.
- Monitor student behavior and attendance, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
- Assist in organizing and delivering events and activities that enhance the Sixth Form experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A commitment to student welfare, academic achievement, and personal development.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and responsibility.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with the ability to manage and motivate others.
Preferred
- Experience in a Sixth Form or similar environment, with a focus on student support and guidance.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with curriculum development or pastoral care.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and innovative teaching methods.
