The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Tutor, you will provide essential support to learners with additional needs, helping them achieve independence and access learning. This role is integral to ensuring an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support learners with additional needs, including those with EHCP, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
• Facilitate integration into the learning environment and promote independence.
• Communicate effectively with learners, teachers, and external agencies.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist with the delivery of learning activities in a structured and supportive manner.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individual learning plans.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance.
• Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the College.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum Level 2 (GCSE Grade D/4 or above) in English and Maths.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy and a genuine interest in helping learners achieve their potential.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and their importance.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with learners and colleagues.

Preferred

• Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
• Experience working with learners with additional needs.
• Flexibility and patience in a dynamic working environment.
