The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Premises Assistant to join our team and help maintain the high standards of our school environment. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the school and ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the school site to the highest standard.
  • Support the day-to-day operational needs of the school community.
  • Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of all school facilities and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Bursar and Premises Team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met across the school.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of school buildings for events and inspections.
  • Carry out general cleaning, tidying, and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s policies and procedures related to premises management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Willingness to learn and take on a hands-on role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under supervision.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Flexibility to work full-time and throughout the year.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a premises or maintenance role.
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
