The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team and inspire a new generation of young scientists. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Science and committed to delivering high-quality education that encourages curiosity, creativity, and practical learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Science lessons to students aged 7 to 13.
  • Foster a culture of investigative learning and develop students’ experimental and analytical skills.
  • Support students across a range of abilities, from those who find Science challenging to those excelling at higher levels.
  • Contribute to the academic success of the school by maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and extracurricular offerings.
  • Encourage student confidence and a lifelong interest in Science through practical and interactive teaching methods.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and community events.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students in line with the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education at upper KS2/KS3 level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science and a passion for teaching the subject.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching scholarship classes or working with high-achieving students.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience in a boarding or independent school setting.
