The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Primary Computer Science Teacher, shaping the next generation of logical thinkers and digital citizens. This role is ideal for educators passionate about computing, oracy, and creating engaging, inclusive learning environments for Key Stage 2 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate computing lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Embed oracy, structured talk, and computational thinking into everyday teaching.
  • Plan creative, well-sequenced learning experiences that promote independent thinking and problem-solving.
  • Support students in becoming responsible digital citizens and confident communicators.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s digital and STEM provision.
  • Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities such as coding clubs and STEM initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with PGCE or BEd.
  • UK bachelor’s degree in Computing, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Recent experience teaching KS2 Computing in a UK or BSO-accredited school.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Computing at KS2.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong digital literacy (Google Workspace, coding platforms, etc.).

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in Philosophy for Children (P4C) or structured oracy practices.
  • Familiarity with Islamic culture and values in an educational context.
