Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
• Embed oracy, structured talk, and computational thinking into everyday teaching
• Plan creative, challenging, and well-sequenced learning experiences
• Support pupils to become independent learners and confident communicators
• Use technology effectively to enhance learning and assessment
• Contribute to the development of the school’s digital and STEM curriculum
• Engage in extra-curricular activities such as coding clubs or STEM initiatives
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE or BEd
• UK bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computing or a related discipline
• Recent teaching experience in a UK or BSO-accredited school
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Computing
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong digital literacy (Google Workspace, shared drives, coding platforms, etc.)

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Experience with Philosophy for Children (P4C) or other dialogic teaching approaches
• Demonstrated ability to support inclusive oracy practices in the classroom
• Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a school setting
