Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and English as an Additional Language.
  • Plan and prepare effective long, medium, and short-term lessons that align with curriculum expectations and student learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment through well-organized classroom resources and displays.
  • Support the development of teaching and learning across the key stage by collaborating with KS1 leaders.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in line with school policies and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Facilitate hybrid, distance, and face-to-face learning to ensure consistent delivery of education.
  • Participate in curriculum action groups and contribute to school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or equivalent with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EAL students and supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with parents and colleagues.
  • Recent involvement in extra-curricular activities and a passion for professional development.
  • Familiarity with online technologies and 21st-century teaching methods.
