The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Business and Economics Teacher, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This role offers the chance to shape the future of students through engaging teaching, curriculum development, and leadership in financial literacy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 in Business and Economics.
• Support the development and mapping of the Business and Economics curriculum, including GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of business concepts and economic theory.
• Prepare students effectively for external qualifications including (I)GCSE, A Level, and BTEC Business and Economics courses.
• Lead the development and delivery of a whole-school financial literacy program.
• Plan and deliver schemes of work aligned with the UK National Curriculum and examination board requirements.
• Use a range of teaching strategies, including real-world case studies and digital technology, to enhance student engagement.
• Support the needs of all learners through effective differentiation and inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role.

Preferred

• Experience with teaching Business and Economics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Experience with GCSE, A Level, and BTEC qualifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
• IT Literacy and familiarity with online technologies to aid in 21st century teaching.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
