The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Primary Teacher Year 1 to join our expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds in a dynamic, international setting while contributing to a strong enrichment programme and a values-driven educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning
  • Design and implement effective continuous provision areas that support both child-initiated and adult-led learning
  • Plan for progression within continuous provision to develop independence and deeper learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress through both formal assessment and observations during continuous provision
  • Communicate effectively with parents about student progress
  • Contribute to the school's enrichment programme
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning meetings
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for students coming from EYFS and progressing into Year 2

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience Teaching in Year 1
  • Have a minimum 3 years teaching experience teaching the English National Curriculum in the UK or in an international setting
  • Experience in implementing continuous provision in Early Years or Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1 and preparation for Year 2
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of current educational practices and assessment strategies
