The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our Early Years team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in a stimulating and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering the development of young children through creative and engaging learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons across all seven areas of the EYFS framework.
- Create a stimulating and welcoming classroom environment that supports positive pupil development.
- Prepare and mark work to facilitate learning and track student progress.
- Develop strong relationships with parents and support the pastoral needs of students.
- Work collaboratively with other Early Years staff to share best practices and learning activities.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and marketing initiatives to promote the EYFS.
- Support the school’s pastoral system and identify children with specific educational or emotional needs.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Early Years education.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and promote a safe and positive learning environment.
- Commitment to child-centered learning and the development of social and emotional skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering creative and engaging learning experiences.
- Previous involvement in school events or marketing initiatives.
- Experience in pastoral care and supporting children with additional needs.
- Familiarity with child safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
