The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our Early Years team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences in a stimulating and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering the development of young children through creative and engaging learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons across all seven areas of the EYFS framework.
  • Create a stimulating and welcoming classroom environment that supports positive pupil development.
  • Prepare and mark work to facilitate learning and track student progress.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents and support the pastoral needs of students.
  • Work collaboratively with other Early Years staff to share best practices and learning activities.
  • Participate in school events, assemblies, and marketing initiatives to promote the EYFS.
  • Support the school’s pastoral system and identify children with specific educational or emotional needs.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Early Years education.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and promote a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to child-centered learning and the development of social and emotional skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering creative and engaging learning experiences.
  • Previous involvement in school events or marketing initiatives.
  • Experience in pastoral care and supporting children with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with child safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
