The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Religious Studies Teacher to join its department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students across all ability levels and contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for Religious Studies and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Studies to students across all ability and age ranges, including GCSE and A Level.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of religious concepts.
- Contribute to the development and review of the Religious Studies curriculum.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through individualised guidance and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies.
- Proven ability to teach across a range of abilities and age groups.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Religious Studies.
- Experience in delivering both GCSE and A Level courses.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
Preferred
- Experience working in an independent school setting.
- Familiarity with the Methodist ethos and Christian values.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
