The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join a thriving Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students of all abilities and contribute to the continued success of a school that consistently achieves outstanding academic results. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education and supporting student development across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Physics and other sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support the development of the Science Department, including the Prep Department, through innovative teaching and collaboration.
  • Act as a High School Form Tutor, promoting student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Contribute to the delivery of AQA GCSE Science Trilogy and AQA GCSE Triple Science, with a focus on achieving excellent results.
  • Provide targeted support to both able and less able students, ensuring inclusive and effective teaching.
  • Participate in the school’s Community Outreach programme and uphold its values of respect and kindness.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Science, specifically Physics.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Physics at A Level.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Ability to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching all three sciences at Key Stage 3.
  • Experience with AQA GCSE Science specifications.
  • NQT or ECT status with a clear career development plan.
  • Flexibility to work full-time or on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE).
