The Opportunity:

As a Reprographics Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely production of print resources, supporting teaching and learning across the institution. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of materials and services provided to students and staff, ensuring smooth operations within the reprographics team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate multi-functional devices, large format printers, laminators, and other equipment as required.
  • Use the ticketing system to communicate clearly and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Assist the Team Lead in managing stock control systems, planning for peak periods and replenishing stock in a timely manner.
  • Ensure high-quality print resources are produced and delivered on time to avoid disruption to teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with the reprographics team to maintain a high standard of customer service and support.
  • Follow health and safety procedures while operating equipment and managing print resources.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the reprographics department during busy periods.
  • Maintain accurate records of print jobs and stock levels as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a reprographics or print-related role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and ticketing software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Team Lead.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only and on a part-time basis.

Preferred

  • Experience with stock control systems or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of large format printing and related equipment.
  • Experience in an educational or sixth form college setting.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles and a focus on user needs.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume print environment.
