Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A Level and GCSE English to a high standard, covering all three pathways.
  • Prepare students effectively for both examined and non-examined assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
  • Support student learning and development through individual tutorials and pastoral care.
  • Contribute to the wider college community by participating in enrichment activities and out-of-class learning.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be flexible and willing to teach across subjects where appropriate.
  • Continuously develop your teaching practice and commitment to student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree in a related subject or proven industry experience.
  • Commitment to obtaining a teaching qualification if not already held.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach at A Level and GCSE in English.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching English at A Level or GCSE.
  • A teaching qualification or current pursuit of one.
  • Experience with non-examined assessments.
  • Background in industry or vocational training.
