The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Drama Lecturer to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to teach A Level Drama and Performing Arts, working with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach A Level Drama and Theatre (Edexcel) to a high standard and develop the relevant skills to deliver outstanding provision.
• Deliver BTEC Performing Arts with a focus on Naturalism, Devising and Acting for Screen.
• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across all courses.
• Prepare students for non-examined assessments, including marking Devising Portfolios and Component 3 assessments.
• Support students in developing their skills and achieving their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider learning community.
• Be willing to teach across other subjects, if required, and take on the role of a tutor.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant teaching qualification or commitment to obtaining one upon appointment.
• Experience in teaching at Key Stage Five.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality learning and supporting student achievement.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Drama and Performing Arts at A Level.
• Experience with non-examined assessments and marking portfolios.
• Familiarity with Edexcel and BTEC qualifications.
• Experience in a Sixth Form College or similar educational setting.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range of £31,339 to £46,059 per annum.
