Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching standards.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and student support initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
  • Support students in developing a love for Science and encouraging a curiosity for learning.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in leading or supporting student enrichment activities.
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
