Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum content in line with school and national standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to support learning outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Support the school’s vision, values, and Christian ethos in all aspects of teaching and behavior.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and Christian ethos.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with cross-phase professional development opportunities.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles.
