Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Subject Leader in the effective management and leadership of the Religious Education department.
- Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that engage students and promote spiritual and moral development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
- Provide pastoral support to students and contribute to the wider school community.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Represent the department in school-wide initiatives and external events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Proven ability to lead and support a departmental team.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s mission.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a school department.
- Experience of working with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with the Catholic curriculum and faith-based teaching.
- A track record of achieving positive student outcomes.
