Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Subject Leader in the effective management and leadership of the Religious Education department.
  • Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons that engage students and promote spiritual and moral development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Provide pastoral support to students and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Represent the department in school-wide initiatives and external events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Proven ability to lead and support a departmental team.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and the school’s mission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a school department.
  • Experience of working with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic curriculum and faith-based teaching.
