Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across key stages, including Chemistry.
- Plan and assess engaging and challenging learning experiences that support student progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive science curriculum.
- Support the personal and academic development of students through effective pastoral care and guidance.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Stay up to date with current scientific research and developments relevant to teaching practice.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Experience in teaching Science, including Chemistry, at the secondary level.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction programs.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in the classroom.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
- Passion for promoting STEM subjects and encouraging student interest in science.
