The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Maths Teacher to support students in bridging the gap between Primary and Secondary Maths curriculums. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student progress and success in secondary education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support specific groups of KS3 & KS4 students in closing gaps in their Maths knowledge.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons tailored to the needs of individual learners.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless transition between Primary and Secondary education.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted interventions where necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
- Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Contribute to the development of Maths curriculum and teaching strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at the Primary level.
- Strong understanding of the Primary and Secondary Maths curriculums.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in supporting students with learning gaps or special educational needs.
- Familiarity with teaching in a single-sex education environment.
- Experience with using technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong track record in student achievement and progress.
