As a Catering Manager, you will play a vital role in managing a busy catering and hospitality service within a school. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the catering and hospitality service.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer care are consistently maintained.
- Develop and implement food production schedules to meet the needs of the school community.
- Lead and motivate a team of catering staff, providing support and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service across the school day.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Engage with students and staff to understand their needs and preferences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience within a catering environment.
- Hold a relevant qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ in catering.
- Strong organisational and people management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service.
- A 'hands-on' approach and willingness to be involved in food production.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
