The Opportunity:

As a Science Tutor, you will provide targeted support to students in small groups or one-to-one, delivering engaging sessions via Microsoft Teams. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and contribute to a dynamic, high-performing institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science tuition to identified students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
  • Support KS4 students with evening sessions via Microsoft Teams.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Track and report on student progress and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality in teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records of student engagement and performance.
  • Participate in school-wide training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Ability to deliver effective one-to-one and small group tuition.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with online teaching platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Commitment to student success and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students in KS4.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Experience in a school with a strong sense of community and high performance.
  • Background in supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
