The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, curriculum-focused lessons that promote student achievement and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and British Values by fostering a respectful and supportive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and school initiatives.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events to enhance student experience and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification and experience in Maths education.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that promote student achievement and engagement.
  • Ability to assess and support student learning effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers.
