The Opportunity:

As a Mentoring Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people through the MCR Pathways programme. This role focuses on building strong relationships with students, connecting them with mentors, and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted, consistent relationships with students across Years 7–11
  • Deliver engaging group sessions to develop confidence and aspiration
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors from the local community
  • Act as the key link between students, mentors, and the school
  • Track and celebrate student progress through meaningful data and stories
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the MCR Pathways programme
  • Promote a positive and supportive environment for students and mentors
  • Collaborate with other staff to enhance student outcomes and well-being

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people in education, youth work, mentoring, or similar fields
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to connect with students and mentors
  • Organised, proactive, and resilient with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Deep belief in the potential of every young person
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience with mentoring programmes or similar initiatives
  • Knowledge of educational frameworks and student support strategies
  • Experience working within an academy or multi-academy trust
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive group sessions
  • Familiarity with data tracking and reporting systems
