The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Biology Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality GCSE and IBDP Biology courses to motivated students and contribute to a school that consistently achieves top results globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to GCSE and IBDP students.
  • Maintain high standards of student progress and attainment through rigorous teaching and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme and extracurricular activities.
  • Support student welfare and pastoral care as part of a dedicated team.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and professional teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Biology at GCSE and/or IBDP level.
  • Proven track record of successful academic outcomes in Biology.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Ability to manage and organize a classroom effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British International School or similar educational setting.
  • Recent professional development in Biology or education.
  • Experience with digital innovation and technology in teaching.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or co-curricular activities.
