Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English and Media lessons to students across all key stages, with a focus on A level.
- Develop creative and engaging curricula that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and enriched learning experience across the school.
- Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, ensuring their needs are met and their progress is monitored.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider curriculum, including teaching other subjects where needed.
- Engage in safeguarding and pastoral responsibilities, ensuring the safety and welfare of all students.
- Contribute to the vibrant extra-curricular life of the school, including clubs, events, and community activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree.
- A QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching.
- A valid ICPC and UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
- Demonstrated ability to teach English and Media through to A level.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
- A commitment to pastoral care and student wellbeing.
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international setting.
- Strong leadership and team-working skills.
- A passion for extra-curricular engagement and student development.
