The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Physical Education to join its Secondary School and PE Faculty starting in August 2026. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement engaging, creative, and inclusive PE programs aligned with the British curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all students, adhering to the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree and QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching, preferably in a British curriculum setting.
  • Ability to teach Physical Education through to A level and other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
  • Strong commitment to student welfare, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a diverse, international school environment.
  • A passion for extra-curricular activities and student leadership.
  • Familiarity with STEAM and technology integration in teaching.
  • Experience with data-driven teaching and assessment strategies.
