The Opportunity:

A Biology Teacher is needed to join a dynamic Science Faculty and make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal growth. This role offers the chance to teach Biology through to A level and contribute to a school that is committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Biology lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and data-driven assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Faculty and contribute to the wider curriculum.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Play an active role in the safeguarding and pastoral care of students.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training to maintain excellence in teaching.
  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme and community initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching Biology at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Biology through to A level.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and a proactive approach to pastoral care.
  • Willingness to teach other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
  • Previous experience in an international school setting.
  • Leadership experience or a track record of leading successful science departments.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
