The Opportunity:
A Biology Teacher is needed to join a dynamic Science Faculty and make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal growth. This role offers the chance to teach Biology through to A level and contribute to a school that is committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and data-driven assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Faculty and contribute to the wider curriculum.
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Play an active role in the safeguarding and pastoral care of students.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training to maintain excellence in teaching.
- Contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching Biology at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Biology through to A level.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and a proactive approach to pastoral care.
- Willingness to teach other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
- Previous experience in an international school setting.
- Leadership experience or a track record of leading successful science departments.
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
