The Opportunity:

We are seeking an outstanding Secondary Deputy Head Teacher - Academics to join a dynamic leadership team and support the delivery of world-class education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support academic operations across the secondary school.
  • Oversee the implementation of the curriculum and ensure alignment with international standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Lead and support staff development through professional learning and CPD initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong track record in academic management and student achievement.
  • In-depth knowledge of British International curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-cultural environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading academic strategy and curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with IB and BTEC qualifications.
  • Demonstrated success in driving CPD and staff development.
  • Experience in a non-selective, diverse student cohort setting.
  • Strong understanding of digital innovation in education.
