The Opportunity:

As a Secondary School Deputy Head of Academics, you will play a key role in driving academic excellence and whole-school improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership to enhance teaching and learning, develop middle leaders, and ensure consistent standards across the Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Secondary and senior leadership in strengthening data-informed teaching and learning practices.
  • Develop and implement assessment and monitoring processes to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Build leadership capacity by coaching Heads of Department and providing targeted professional development.
  • Embed robust data systems to support self-evaluation and student progress.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents and ensure student wellbeing is prioritized.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the Secondary School.
  • Ensure alignment with international curricula, including IB-MYP and IB-DP standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to sustain high academic standards and drive school improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a recognized teaching certification.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an international school setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and leadership roles.
  • Strong communication and technology skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in IB-MYP and IB-DP education systems.
  • Master’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience in assessment for learning and data-informed teaching practices.
  • Track record of driving academic improvement and leadership development.
